Although very neatly made, the Rainbow Sound Blocks are rattles. Describing them as having totally different "tones" was deceptive, as I interpreted that as something more musical, no longer just the sounds of various-sized little beads shaking around. It seems to me to be more acceptable for youthful kids (babies) simply picking up their first blocks and rattles, not truly that stimulating or instructional. The concept of constructing totally different shade combinations as you seem thru two blocks collectively used to be great, however most of the color combinations didn't if reality be told come via, i.e., having a appear via a red block in conjunction with a yellow block still seemed purple, blue and pink collectively did not create purple, and so on. I sold these for my 1 year previous and for my three 1/2 yr old. The colors of the blocks usually are not vivid like proven. This toy is great!!! It teaches totally different forms, colors, and sounds! My 3 year previous daughter looks in the path of the blocks to see in several coloration.
